cash flow – n: finance/accounting term
referring to the amount of cash that “flows” in and out of a business over a
period of time. Cash flow means exactly what it sounds like: if your business
is “cash flow negative,” you are spending more cash in a given time period
(typically per month or quarter) than you are taking in; conversely, if your
business is “cash flow positive,” you are taking in more cash than you are
spending.
