The Go BIG Network is an on-line marketplace that connects the startup and small
business community. The company allows startup companies, investors, advisors, job
seekers and service providers to post requests for help on-line and have those requests
routed to other members of the Network who can help them.

The Problem We Solve
The startup community is highly disconnected.
Startups, investors, job seekers and service providers all need one another to survive
and grow yet at the same time they are hindered by their own lack of connectivity.
Go BIG allows members of the startup community to connect faster by exposing all
of the demands of the startup community in one place.
How Go BIG Works
Members of Go BIG can either search profiles of other members and contact them or
they can post a Request (like a classified ad) and let other members see what they
are looking for. It's pretty much that easy.
Member Profiles
Members can create a free profile of themselves when they join Go BIG. They can
also search other profiles of members to learn more about them (and contact them).
Since Go BIG is completely tailored toward the needs of the startup and small business
community, the profiles on Go BIG are highly targeted and specific. It's easy to
find an Angel Investor who invests in bio-tech startups in a particular region because
their profile is created with the startup community in mind.

Requests
Requests are just like classified ads. Members post anything from Requests "Looking
for Funding" to "Jobs Available".
What's extra cool about Go BIG is that each Request that is posted can be mapped
back to individual member profiles that are interested in that particular request.
So when a member posts a Request "looking for funding" the system can
alert all investors on the system who invest in that type of deal. Of course each
member can customize the types of updates they would like to receive.

Member Networks
Go BIG is all about connecting people to get stuff done. To facilitate this interaction,
Go BIG allows members to create a personal network of their friends and colleagues.
By inviting friends to their professional network, members can share contacts and
introductions between other members. They can also send Requests directly through
their personal networks and have those requests forwarded on to other personal networks.
How we make money
Go BIG makes money in three ways:
- Paid Requests - Members pay a fee to post their requests on Go
BIG
- Subscriptions - Members pay a fee to contact other members of the
Network who they do not have a relationship with
- Groups License - Organizations license the Go BIG software platform
to use for their own purposes
Wow, an Internet-based startup company with an actual revenue model. Toto, we're not in 1999 anymore!
About the Founder
The Go BIG Network was founded by serial entrepreneur
Wil Schroter (our resident Founder & CEO). His long-winded and
shamelessly self-promotional bio is below:

After starting his first Internet company at the age of 19 (Blue Diesel), Wil grew
the company to over $65MM in billings in just five years. At 22 Wil sold his company
into a larger ad agency (inChord), joined their board, and helped grow the agency
to over $600MM in billings within four years.
While still growing his ad agency Wil built, grew and sold a software company (Kelltech)
for $10MM by the time he was 26. He has been recognized by the Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur of the Year as well as the US Small business Association Entrepreneur
of the Year programs.
Wil also launched and grew the world's largest on-line automotive leasing exchange,
Swapalease.com, which has listed over $2 billion worth of vehicles.
Somewhere along the way Wil has started 9 companies, but this is a bio, not a novel.
Wil is well recognized for his startup company expertise. His nationally syndicated
column covers startup company strategies and reaches over 4 million professionals
in 42 major cities across the United States. He has appeared on NBC, CBS,
and MSNBC as well as the Wall Street Journal, Smart Money
and Red Herring.
Wil is also the author of Go BIG or Go HOME (an obvious marketing tie-in,
but a cool book title nonetheless) which details how the strategies behind the fastest
growing startup companies.
