Gilbert functions as an Executive Producer, facilitator and consultant to two media funds, a family office (trust company), plus several top US and international production and distribution companies, working on ongoing multi-picture film slate ventures. Because of the nature of these involvements, plus additional leverage, collateral, and contract-based financings available through M3 and partners, Gilbert continually looks globally for capital partners with venture financing needs.
Gilbert was co-founder of MediaMen LLC, a global content licensing, management and consulting group, acquired by Dubai and New Delhi based Media Gateway LLC in September 2007. The companies had been working together strategically for more than a year when the acquisition was finalized. With this acquisition completed, Media Gateway now represents more than 300 channels, which it targets toward Broadcast, Triple Play, IPTV, PC Broadband (streaming), Video on Demand, Mobile Telephony, PDAs and Airline platforms worldwide.
