Industry: Technology
Year Founded: 2008
Legal Status:
Location: Canton, OH (USA)
Company Description:
Lock Lights LLC has 15 world class product lines ranging from consumer electronics to energy, lighting to security, and music & entertainment to telecommunications services. Lock Lights LLC is committed to provide innovative products, solutions, and opportunities for customers, employees, and investors around the world.

Lock Light Product: Solves an age-old problem faced by home owners across the world. The concept is simple: at night, it is difficult and sometimes impossible to find the correct key and navigate it to the keyhole. Fastened between the deadbolt and doorknob lock, the Lock Light device will light up the area when the home owner draws near. Its technology, which is both unique and simple, consists of a motion sensor and two LED lights. Lock Lights will not only appeal to home owners; but also business owners, hotels, hospitals, government facilities, those who rent homes and apartments will also benefit from the company’s device.

Lock Lights will take advantage of the nearly 70 million homes that are owner-occupied in the U.S., as well as growing trends in the home automation market. Though it was previously concerned only with wealthy home owners, the home automation market has moved toward middle and even lower incomes as technology has developed. The market, in its entirety, was estimated to be worth $3.17 billion in 2007, and is growing at a rate of 8.5% each year. Twenty-six percent of the market’s revenue is generated from lighting controls, and one of the top four reasons home owners implement this technology is for convenience and comfort. Lock Lights fits both of these descriptions and has great potential to succeed in this burgeoning market. It will compete with other businesses in the home automation industry, such as Smarthome, X10, HAI, and more, but these companies all produce similar products that operate in only slightly different ways. The success of these companies, while selling nearly identical products, is a testament to the market’s openness, and Lock Lights’ unique devices will further its ability to garner a substantial share of the market.

Lock Lights will clearly convey its message and mission, focus on total client satisfaction, and prompt potential customers to experience its revolutionary home automation product by first establishing its brand and identity. The Company’s brand will underscore its central values and, during its operational launch, accentuate its practicality, affordability, and ability to provide security from theft. Lock Lights will use television ads, direct sales, print media, and the Internet to raise awareness and, upon expansion, will hire a public relations firm to advertise via billboards and radio ads.
