Introduction
Travel Melanesia Ltd has been registered with IPA in January 2007. It provides travel and adventure packages to the people of Port Moresby city and PNG as a whole. An opportunity for Travel Melanesia’s success exists because the national tourism and travel industry is growing at a rapid pace annually, especially groups like church groups, sporting groups, youth groups, families and individuals. Travel Melanesia Ltd is poised to take advantage of this growth and moderate competition in the travel portion of the industry, with a dedicated and experienced staff, excellent networking and effective management and marketing.
Objectives
Travel Melanesia’s objectives are:
· To satisfy our Customer’s travel needs,
· To contribute to national development by creating job opportunities for Papua New Guineans.
· To be a profitable and a competitive Travel Agency in a dynamic environment.
· To develop strategic alliances with service providers nationally and internationally.
In order to achieve these goals, Travel Melanesia needs to focus on the four key areas of:
· Effective segmentation and targeting of group travelers within the larger travel market.
· Successfully position us as business, leisure and group travel specialists.
· Communicate the differentiation and quality of our offers through personal interaction, media and regional marketing.
· Develop a repeat- business base of loyal customers in order to create sufficient sales.

Travel Melanesia’s mission is to satisfy our customers through quality service from the heart in providing professional advise and tailor-made packages to suit customers travel needs.
Ownership and Management
Travel Melanesia Ltd Company is 100% nationally owned by Samuel and Miriam Xkenjik. The owners and staff of the company have been in the airline industry for more than 20 years and are experienced travel industry professionals.
Travel Melanesia Ltd is a small company and its employees will share in management duties and decision-making. Miriam who will be managing the daily operations of Travel Melanesia has worked with Air Niugini, Bird of Paradise Travel, Cathay Pacific and Skyland Travel.
Prerequisites for all Travel Melanesia employees include at least two years travel industry experience, as well as knowledge and ability in the types of activities Travel Melanesia promotes.
Specialist
Travel Melanesia also represents an international award- winning agency in tours and group travel around the globe. This positions Travel Melanesia as the specialist in providing group travel in the country.
Travel Melanesia Ltd is co-located with VJM Recruitment Ltd who is a specialist in Passports and Visa for international travellers. So it’s a ONE STOP- SHOP.

· Sell all airline products and services
· Organize frequent flyer programmes with airlines of clients’ choice,
· Tour packages, business, leisure and holiday travel,
