Street Combat Applications and Tactics (SCAT) is a self-protection and defense school dedicatied to teaching civilians, law enforcement officers and military personnel to defend themselves effectively in real life combat situations. SCAT takes a modern day approach to combat and stresses the importance of sound tactical proficiency rather than out dated traditional techniques. SCAT is founded and operated by Nathan P. Brachear who is an active law enforcement officer, SWAT Operator, and has 16yrs of combat martial arts training, research, and development.
SCAT was developed to give law enforcement officers, military personnel, and civilians an effective system of proven tactics and training. The program is being launched now at the request of my law enforcement brothers and sisters who have come to me to improve their training usually after being over taken on the street.
SCAT also focuses on combat fitness which is the ability to stay in a fight when your body is out of gas. This program is especially important for law enforcement and military personnel, but is also demanded by the civilian population. Not only does combat fitness prepare you for a fight, it gets you in great shape and helps combat heart disease and obesity which is a very big problem in the law enforcement community. SCAT is dedicated to the survival of our nations heroes, our city. state, and county street soldiers, and our civilian population that keeps the wheels turning.
