Zahra Pictures' first film was 'On Common Grounds'. Produced by Ahmad Zahra, it was broadcast on the Hallmark Channel among others, with high ratings. It was released on Zahra Pictures own DVD label in 2005 and continues to screen around the US and internationally till today. Since then Zahra has produced and acquired a host of films including 'AmericanEast', a feature film co-production, starring Golden Globe Winner, Tony Shalhoub, that will be released in January 2009 by Metro Goldwyn Myers Studios (MGM). Also slated for release by Zahra in 2009 are Rolla Selbak’s first feature film, 'Making Maya' and the documentary, 'Saudis in America'. Founded and headed by Producer Ahmad Zahra, the company has currently several projects in development for which it is seeking investors.
