He also co-founded the the first major internet portal for the real estate industry called US Digital/HomeWeb. Founded in November 1994, it was a profitable business within six months, featured in The Wall Street Journal in 1996 and later sold. USD/HomeWeb was the leader in the home search and property listing space as it pioneered the use of the Internet by Realtors to market listings providing MLS-like home listing information and photographs to consumers. During his career he has co-built and later sold a large national real estate publishing, consulting and conferencing company and has held the position of president/CEO at a public company. Currently, Featherston's iF Enterprises is focusing on development of internet businesses, media properties and publications including a new children's book series, of which a screenplay is being created, directed to families. Featherston's other business/personal pursuits involve the creation of signed, limited-edition art. Working with fine-print specialist Edward Finnegan of Brooklyn, NY, his clients have included PGA golf legend Byron Nelson and NBA basketball legend Earl Lloyd — the first African-American to play in an NBA game. Some of Featherston's art resides at The Smithsonian Museum, The Basketball Hall Of Fame, The National Civil Rights Museum and The Library Of Congress. Featherston is married, has two children and resides in Connecticut.
